Would you suggest the rest of us writers open a goodreads to help promulgate our work?

Me and Amazon are not the best of friends or even good buddies, more like two people who tolerate each other. But my publisher uses them, so I acquiesce. They own Goodreads, so I was reluctant to do this. But I saw another author on it and thought “Why not?” Btw, @Michael B. Morgan and @David Perlmutter are also on Goodreads. It seems to benefit them, so I’d say go for it. As the saying goes, no publicity is bad publicity.

Hi, I've just bought Stardust Alliance. Looking forward to reading it. I'm following you on Amazon and Goodreads. Will leave a review when I read it and then go on to your other books. I'm based in the UK.

Congratulations. I get my early reviews through Book Siren. It is relatively inexpensive and you get to screen the reviewers. I have found trading reviews with other writers in the past to be a precarious practice. Amazon will quickly remove them if they figure it out (and they often do).
