This post is 100% written by me. Please don’t scan with Pangram. It gives false readings and, by scanning, you feed my writing to the AI beast.
Getting published is a great achievement. Selling those books is a different matter entirely. And I want to support that in the only way I can.
In a new section here called “A.C.’s Bookshelf,” I will feature your books for sale (as long as they contain no AI content or covers – I will take your word on that since AI detectors are useless or worse) with any related links.
There are others on here doing this, but the more the merrier when it comes to promoting your work. I’m not competing with them. I am joining in and adding to their efforts.
There is no charge for this. Your success is my payment. A voluntary exchange of values, the foundational principle of true capitalism, not what many call the mess in our economy these days. Seeing you succeed brings me great joy.
Send me the info on you published book in a DM here or tag me in a Note. I will also scout around Substack and elsewhere for your new books (published or soon-to-be) and post about them here. They must be free of any AI usage (I will take your word on this – no scanner will be used). This is an ethical choice, since AI works on what people like Sam Altman have stolen from us all. Add in the economic and ecological damage and the harm to the human brain… well, anyway, you’re too good to need such things in the first place.
If you’re wondering why I won’t be promoting works posted here, it is because of Chris Best and the Substack Team implementing Pangram, a very flawed AI detector. Like all such programs, it has to suck up your work to detect AI content (and doesn’t do a good job even then). Any statement saying this content won’t be used for what is laughingly termed “AI training” is in my opinion unbelievable.
My 2 Lists of Writers Who Don’t Use AI:
Priority goes to those who have assured me that they have more integrity than to use AI in any way for their writing. I have them listed.
If you are not on one of these but should be, please let me know in a comment, note, or DM. I’ll be happy to welcome you to the AI Free Zone.
Authors Who Mostly Don't Use AI*
*Might use AI for images here or cover designs (which I don’t like to see, but my focus is on the writing).
Thanks for reading, and again best wishes with your writing and publishing.

This is terrific. My currently published novel is VALLEY OF DEATH and this will be joined by the sequel, BIBLE OF HELL, very shortly. Both are retrospective crime novels and absolutely NO AI involved. The books are retrospective noir thrillers
Here's the link on Valley of Death:

Again, this is brilliant and I look forward to being in touch.
