Thorny Thursday — The Next Stage
Inspiration has lit a fire in my brain…
Creating these short stories for Thorny Thursday has been quite a treat for me, pulling me out of my comfort zone. So much so that I have decided to put a book of such stories together, including expanded versions of the ones posted here.
Consider these the appetizers before the feast:
Elias Monk & the Gift (now part of a series of events in the life of Elias Monk)
Pivotal Moment (now part of a series of events in the life of Elias Monk)
Drooping Roses (now expanded from 173 words to over 3600)
Another story, The Dark House, started as a short snippet for Thorny Thursday and turned into a longer story that teeters between this day and Macabre Monday. That’s how several of these have gone, especially A Pleasing Shape. But that’s how love goes—sometimes wonderful, sometimes horrific, but thankfully mostly the former. This realization also spurred me to think “needs to be a book!”
Thanks for reading here. Watch for the book portraying love’s thorns, and thanks, @Kathrine Elaine, for the inspiration! I will, of course, continue to promote the day as long as she cares to continue posting about it.
Keep being inspired! Keep writing! As “Auntie Mame” says, “Life’s a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death.”
