I appreciate the shot out! Lots of great publications I didn’t know about. Love that you’re doing this.

Little off topic but is there a way to get the “definitely human written” tag? I can show you my mad scribbles on paper (which is how I do my first drafts) but my fear was sharing that with the public would get me institutionalized!

Got you marked as “dhw” and happy to hear it. Sad that we need to declare that we really do the writing, not some programming called AI.

I agree. I think it’s just a phase right now because it’s so new. I don’t know how long it will be a thing. I’m sure organizations will use it for simple copywriting, but as readers become smarter, I think very quickly they’ll be able to see through the cracks mostly because the quality isn’t anywhere close to what a human can do. At least from what I’ve seen. AI is passable at writing instructions to build a desk but I have yet to see it capture human emotion.

Thanks again for adding me!

As a former tech writer (user guides, help systems, website content, etc.) and GUI designer, website builder, etc., I don’t think AI can do ANY of that better than us humans. Just as translating from English to French involves the understanding of the subtleties of each language, something Google Translate fails to achieve, so AI falters when giving clear instructions. I have to agree totally on the emotion part. But it’s a small part of the picture. I see stories on here that only a human mind can create, constantly choosing which way to go. A story I’m working through now took a rather satisfying turn yesterday as my brain churned through possibilities. Hooray for humans who make the effort.

Honored! Lately I'm writing with pen and paper. Full human style. I think you'd be proud of me, A.C.!

Totally impressed. I do so much rewriting, moving around, etc., that I’d burn through reams of paper and gallons of ink in no time! Trust me, though, that my word processor dances to MY tune, not some AI programming.

Thanks for including me on your list! So many writers to explore!

and I am definitely a human writer and visual artist. I can barely make corrections to goobers on my real art, via computer editing program. AI is the spawn of Satan, which I suppose is appropriate for Spooky Season! (But you won't find any at my Stack)
