NOTE: Starting in September, I will do these posts every other week instead of weekly. In their place I will be doing a post listing articles, poems, stories, etc., that catch my eye. For September and October that will be anything in line with Team Halloween. In November and December, I’ll focus on things related to that holiday season. After that, well, who knows!
Once again, my list highlights folks who focus on Halloween-ish subject matter, part of Team Halloween (more info here). Never fear, though, others are included here as always. Give ’em a perusal and expand your reading horizons!
[insert wicked cackle here]
If you know of anyone I should add, please comment below. Help spread the word!
dhw=definitely human written (might be using AI-generated images, though)
Please let me know if you wish to be designated as “dhw.”
The List in alphabetical order (fiction, non-fiction and a designer or two for your micropatronage):
Pick and choose. And explore Substack. My list is far from complete. And I am happy to say that lots of these people don’t stoop to the fakery of AI (artificial intelligence) which should be called AP (advanced programming) for their writing. (Sadly, a number of those listed here feel compelled to use AI to generate images.)
Wanna catch the eye of readers? A great way is to be bold and post in Notes links to your tomes (no matter how large or small), to your ’Stack, and even your author site!
If I’ve missed you here, it’s unintentional. Please leave me a comment. If you don’t want to be tagged, please also comment or give me a DM.
Remember, the list is split in two parts.

Genre (Theme) Days
See my article: Publisher Agent Fiction Genres Defined, with downloadable PDF.
Fiction is divided into two main categories, or so I have seen on various sites that present themselves as authorities on the subject:
Genre (mystery, romance, sci-fi, drama, horror, historical, etc.)
Literary (usually anything that’s not of a specific genre and often considered to be more focused on ideas that plot, characters, etc., but I beg to differ)
These genre days are great opportunities to showcase your work and are also inspirational!
Here’s a list, showing the “host(s)” who often do a summary of the posts:
