Hi A.C. - appreciate you including on this list, although I should clarify that my Substack is mostly AI free, it is entirely AI free. I have not and will never use an image generated by AI.
Very happy to hear it. Will switch you over. Some people didn’t say they were AI free. They just said it wasn’t in their writing. So I opted to put them in the Mostly AI Free Zone. Hey A.C. 👋 I'm still relatively new on this platform but am an aspiring writer. My posts have been quite clear about my position RE what I call Abolition Imagined. Not sure if it's possible in terms of accreditation, but you can take my word I don't use AI in my writing, it's 100% authentic and my own, warm blooded work.
BTW I'm trying to bring a refreshing angle to this whole debacle cause as a former addict I can see patterns that the AI oligarchs are acting like drug pushers / barons
Just to clarify: I have dabbled with Substack's image generator in the past (when I couldn't find my preferred image finder lol) but I have never used AI to write the text of my posts.

But yeah, I didn't gain my degree pre-AI just to let it do half the brain work now. Unfortunately for me, I've always been partial to writing with dashes - which is apparently a red flag for AI. Sigh.
Dumb red flag. I use em dashes a lot. Anyway, I move you. Not a big deal probably. I just like to acknowledge your steering clear of AI. Lots of people started using AI images for a while. Not all of them had the sense you showed to turn away.
Cheers for the add! I have since sworn off AI images as well, since reading some cogent arguments and some thinking on my own. That's why you guys have to endure my ugly mug as a profile pc. Sorry about that. Ethics sucks, sometimes.
Hey AC. Just popping in to clarify that my publication is among those that are fully and certified AI free. There used to be a couple stories early on that featured AI images generated from Iron Age Media for use as part of their monthly writing prompts, but those have since been replaced with appropriate photos or illustrations developed entirely by human hands. If you could swap me to the other list whenever you get the opportunity, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for your time and trouble! I’m working on 3 different projects simultaneously. I don't have a computer, so all my work is done on my phone. Yesterday, I was SO tempted… but I went to bed instead!

In the 13 months I've been on Substack, I have used TWO AI generated images, so I accept that I am not "100% AI free", but my writing certainly is.
I do not use any AI in any way, shape, or form that relates to writing The Eternal Art, planning it, plotting it, grammar-checking it, or the like.

When I have used AI, too, I've always stated (well, I don’t think I've missed any instance) that I have.
